Salt Lake City Weekend

We went to Salt Lake this weekend to attend the sealing of friends we know from Bremerton.
Just so you  know. If you come to the state of Utah and it's over a weekend and we are free.
AND YOU LET US KNOW......
We will come to wherever you are.

This is Deon and Matt Seng.
When we moved to Bremerton as newlyweds, these two were about 10 years old.
In about 1986 or 87 Deon and I were in a melodrama at church. At the time, Matt's twin brother Mike had a crush on Deon. Now Mike is married to Deon's sister Suzanne as of this last March.
They had a nice luncheon afterwards. Deon and Matt were married last year, but were sealed today.
Starting from the right are her parents: Kathy & Bill Mackley, us, Deon & Matt,
Mike and Suzanne, Stephanie Fry  and Megan Mackley Claughton.
Abby Turner came after we took this picture.
Fred and I drove to the Draper temple and did a few sealings.
It is pretty fancy up there. It's a beautiful temple.
We went to dinner at Goodwood BBQ.
It was good.
I ate half of mine. Really - do they expect you to eat the whole thing?
We originally wanted to attend a session at the Provo City Temple,
but it was the big BYU - UTES game,
so that is why we went to the Draper Temple instead. We just walked around the Provo City Temple
instead on Sunday.
It is lovely. We will have to go back.
I was so glad that Fred and I got to go. It was really wonderful to spend time with our friends and get  reacquainted. I just love doing that.

Park City - Last Day Together

Thursday was our last full day at Park City. I can't remember who found this Park down the street. It was just right for using the styrofoam airplanes that Fred bought for all of the grandsons. It was another hot day, but the boys managed to enjoy them anyway. Fred brought markers so the boys also got to customize them!

The girls enjoyed the shady part of the park.
The adults also found the place of rest.
Scott and Jess and Evan - I can't remember what they were doing this morning.
I've waited too long to finish up this day's events.
They met up with us after lunch.
After lunch, Fred and I met up with Corinne's family to ride the downtown free trolley bus.
It's a cute old fashion trolley. It's air conditioned - so we were all about that.

The resort gave them a walking scavenger type tour so they wanted to give a try.
We wandered downtown and finally met up with Scott, Jess and Evan near the end.
It was another very hot day.

We headed back to the resort.
The boys went swimming.
I think we might have ate leftovers.
Gosh - I just don't remember now.

I think that this is a good picture to end on though.
Scott looking forward with a smile, Jess looking on at her family with an expression of love.
Very peaceful, content and happy. Just what we all want.
At the end of this week - it was pretty much what we hoped for.
Time with our family. Everyone was healthy.
No injuries. No one got lost. I don't remember any fighting. Actually no real meltdowns.
Our family gets along. I love that.
I Love Them.

Park City Day #4

Today's schedule was left open for families to do what they wanted until our family pictures at 4 PM.
My Dad drove up in the morning as did my brother Craig & his wife Lynnette.
Craig and Lynnette stayed and visited with us all morning and ate lunch with us.
Shannon and Brian missed the visit. They had made plans to visit with Brian's brother.
Dad stayed the day with us.

It poured rain a couple hours before our scheduled time. It made me nervous. I was not going to be happy if we had to cancel our appointment. It cleared up and then it ended up being HOT when we took pictures.
 See we are all squinting.
We weren't the only people at this location for photographs.
It's a very popular location.
I wish we would have taken more photos at this shady spot under this big tree.

This is the best one I think of all. It included my Dad.
I printed a big one for him and hung it in his bedroom.
It is waiting for him to get home.
He has been gone away on a vacation with his cousin for over two months.

Now we are headed back to our cars.
Our appointment was at 6:30 pm. We were concerned the younger kids would be near a cranky time, but they weren't. If we would have known how good they were going to be, we would have gone later when the sun was down. It was awfully sunny and I think the pictures would have been even better.

Corinne and Ben brought their chocolate fountain.
We all met back there and ate lots of yummy fruit and pretzels dipped in chocolate.
It was pretty amazing that it wasn't a big mess. It was DELICIOUS!!!

I love this sequence of pictures of Corinne.

It was a Great Day!!!
