Leadville Colorado Train Sept 2025

We're into train rides this year. 

We drove up to the Leadville Train Station

The train ride was 2.5 hours long. 

We did see a lot of colors, but I think we were just a little early to see a bigger variety of colors. Lots of yellows. 

We had a nice two person table. 

We took a bunch of snacks.

We ate at his basic hole in the wall BBQ. Not too impressive to look at, but the food was really GOOD!

I love to go on these day adventures with Fred. It is so nice to get away from the house and chores that are always there.

Eating and Shooting at the DeLaTorre's Sept 27, 2025

Lois and Vince DelaTorre invited a few of us out to their property. 

It's way in the heck out in the middle of nowhere.

It was at least an hour drive.

This is basically their homestead. 

Great Big Out Building.

Inside is their 5th wheel mansion.

This area will be converted to a Barn Condominium.

They will enclose this area to make a kitchen, bath, loft bedroom.

Eventually they hope to sell their property so they are really spiffing it up.

We ate in this space. Brisket hamburgers (YUM), salads, desserts, chips. Everything was covered.

After lunch, we take the ATVs out to their designated shooting range. 

Lois and I were the only women who took a turn at the shooting range. Otherwise, we all sat here our chairs and watched.

Fred brought all kinds of gun supplies. Ammo, targets, earplugs. 

The range was pretty far away. They are all checking their targets.

Pretty much felt like a teenager on a big group date.  It was a carefree day.
