A few more keepsakes about to bite the dust

These are my Thanksgiving Pilgrims that I made about 25 years ago.
Aren't they the cutest? I have hung them on our front door all these years.
I didn't hang them out this year.
My new front door won't accomodate these little darlings.
I think I'm putting them in the giving away.

Scott made us this poster of his accomplishments. I think it might have been a Mother's Day gift for me.
He makes us proud still to this day. He has checked off some important accomplishments during his life.
We look forward to more .

Pizza Casserole

Today on Facebook someone posted this recipe. It looked yummy so I tried it.

Pizza Casserole
1 - 16 oz rotini pasta
1 lb - Italian Sausage
1 - 20 oz jar pasta sauce
1 - 16 oz cottage cheese
1 - 2 1/2 oz can sliced olives
1 - 4 oz can mushrooms, drained
12 oz mozzarella cheese
2 - 3oz packages sliced pepperoni

Preheat oven to 350. Grease 9x13
Cook pasta. Brown sausage. Mix in pasta and sauce. Pour in casserole dish. Mix cottage cheese, olives, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. Spoon cheese mixture over sausage/pasta mixture. Top with pepperoni slices. Bake 25 minutes or until bubbly & slightly brown.

Before
After
It was tasty, but if I would make it again I would try to intensify the flavor a bit. I used the Prego spaghetti sauce from Costco....so it tasted a lot like everything else I make. So maybe your own pizza sauce would be tastier. I don't think I used as much pepperoni as it called for. I had to dab off the grease on those little slices. So I would recommend snazzing it up with the things that you would do to a homemade pizza. I did love all the cheese!

What we did today

This is how I would like our bedroom to always look. No junk on the night stands or CPap machines or a chair with Fred's work clothes draped over it.

Same here. No kleenex box or two soap dispenser on the counter. These are the new towels I bought for "staging" and then taking with us when we move. I usually use towels that don't really match so well...

There was no good angle on our little hall bathroom. But it is still just about my favorite room. It's bright and cheery and doesn't need any work!!!

Here is Scott's room made over. We wanted to get rid of the computer desk, but haven't been successful with that yet. The bed is made out of moving boxes and a twin size air mattress. I borrowed the spread and throw from a work friend and bought the sheers. It's restful - yes?

My pink room screams of craft and creativity. It's not really good for anything else since it is so PINK!

Here is one angle of the livingroom. I wish my china hutch wasn't stuck in the corner there,
but that is how it is.

Another angle that helps the room appear good size.

Next will be kitchen, family room, Corinne's old bedroom, storage room and a couple outside photos.
We are making progress. It's almost unbelievable. Pray that a buyer will come QUICKLY!

Anticipating two grandchildren

Both of our daughters are expecting a baby. One due date is 10/10 and the other is 10/14. I predict one boy and one girl. Not saying which daughter is expecting which....that't my secret.

She's at it again - Miracle!!!

Shannon and Brian are expecting a new baby in October 2013. This pregnancy is a surprise and is pretty amazing considering the process that was required for them to conceive Little Buddy. For internet safety, the new baby will be referred to as Copper as in a penny.
