All about Clara

I wanted a new topic to blog about so I looked at pictures on my phone.
Lots of cute pictures of Clara. Corinne is recovering from foot surgery so she has had
the luxury of taking lots of pictures while she is home.
Now that the boys are all in school all day, Corinne and Ben I think are
loving the quiet time at home being just three instead of seven people.
She is playing with some toys that we bought her for Christmas last year.
This is her first time with them so she is quite enthralled.
 I love her unique mohawk.
Little fly away hair.
I also love her little rolly polly arms.
She looks so much like Corinne did when she was a baby.
 I love that little face.
 She is all personality.
 What is she thinking??
So much going on in her little head.
Here she is with all her big brothers as they leave for the 1st day of school.
This is when Corinne was still stuck in her bed.
Clara just hung out on the bed with her. She isn't really crawling yet.
I love her little concentrating face.
I think both Corinne and Ben enjoy dressing her up.
 Concentrating again.
I'm very pleased that Clara got the Daly blue eyes!!
Ben has been so great to take care of Corinne and keep the kids involved too.
He brought up Sunday lunch so everybody could be together.
So that's my Clara highlight.
I think I'll do Graham next.

The perfect decorating theme

I have my own bathroom where I shower because I don't like the master shower set up.
I have had a couple different decoration themes over the years.
First was ocean/seashells. It was okay, but I never felt like it popped.
Right now I have a pink floral shower curtain and quite a few vintage pictures of girls/women.
The pictures are from birthday and anniversary cards that I have received over the years.
I've been happier with this theme, but the shower curtain is very flimsy so often the water leaks out of the shower stall and makes a big puddle mess.

Well, my dreams have come true.
I found this bath set at Bed Bath & Beyond on Saturday.
I bought the shower curtain. I'm going to go back each time I get a 20% coupon and buy the rest.
The shower curtain actually has texture of netted puffs for the flowers on it.
I'm just so excited to finally find something that is exactly what I've been dreaming of.

I'm not sure if I studied the shoes to figure out what they are for.
You can see that the design is textured.
Just perfect.
I took pictures of my new shower curtain this morning.
See how cute the flowers are with the netting?

Here are all my vintage pictures.
I got this one from my Mom.
This is a card from Fred.
 Another card from Fred.
 A card from a friend.
 Another card from Fred.
 Another card from a friend.
I love all these cards. They do capture my life.
Love my new bathroom theme. I can hardly wait to buy more of the accessories.
Then I'll just live in there.

Parting is such sweet sorrow

Fred and I talk about our future a lot. That is probably normal for couples.
Our next step is moving to Denver and perhaps then not working anymore.
Which would mean needing only one car.
We talked about what that car would need to be.
Not a sedan ~ my criteria.
I do not like hauling myself up and out of a sedan. Getting back in is not much more graceful.
Lots of history behind us buying the Subaru Outback that I won't go into.
We drove Shannon's. Lots of great safety features. It sits up, so it's easy getting in and out.
Fred works for the Subaru dealer. Things lined up and fell into place.
The timing was right. Scott said he would like to buy the Camry.
Knowing Fred's pride and joy was going to a good home made it not so painful.
Fred said "It's the first brand new car I bought for myself and it just fits me.
I thought I would be buried in it."
I should have taken more pictures. I quickly took this one as he was finishing up with the last fill up at the Maverick in St. George.
We pulled over in Santa Clara so he could rearrange some stuff.
I decided to take a picture from the back of the view I was going to have for the next 3 1/2 hours.
That Camry really is a beautiful car. I feel for Fred being sad about it.
Scott and all the family met us in Bullhead City AZ.
It was 118 degrees there. YUCK.
This was not a picnic for this little family.
BUT it was so great to spend this time with them.
These boys could not be any cuter.

Looking into Graham's eyes is just like looking into his Daddy's baby eyes.

I think this car fits Scott just like it did Fred.
We are happy to know the Camry is going to a good family.
Maybe they will let Fred drive it when we visit.
Fred is a good Dad. He got the car detailed, oil changed and gathered every bit of car maintenance and information possible for Scott. That's just what he does. That's his love language.
So farewell Gray Camry! It's been a great ride.

Random things

I finally got our newest family pictures printed.
I got the entryway pictures up.
 Here's the grand kids display.
I went back to Costco to reprint the 16x20, I realized that I did not click OFF the auto correct.
Which means I did it wrong because Chelsie has her settings set.
So now I'm going back to reprint everything. Some were a little light, a few kind of dark.
Saturday we went to the Subaru dealer to experience their braking system demonstration.
We've had our eyes on a Subaru for our "forever car" when we were ready to go down to one car.
Shannon's car got us interested and with Fred's employee discount - it just fell into place.
Surprise! It is not blue or gray.
 It's called Wilderness Green (Metallic)

We went for a drive Sunday evening. When Fred uses his visor, it doesn't help me when the sun is coming from his side. I swiped his hat and it worked just right.
Sunday morning I decided to make a soup for dinner.
This was so good. I used Red Chili Sauce (accidentally bought this instead of enchilada sauce).
The soup was so good, but I was so aggravated when I went to the pantry for tortilla chips and there were NONE!
Here is Evan waiting for his Daddy to come home.
Clara on the verge of crawling.
Graham's on the move.

Fred and I are looking at nothing on the calendar.
We have had a very event filled six months this year.
We are ready for quiet.

Delna's special day

Shannon and Corinne were able to play a duet together for the service.
They played a beautiful arrangement of My Heavenly Father Loves Me.
Another quick sandwich luncheon before the journey to Panguitch for the dedicaation of her grave.

This time all three of our children were able to attend. They drove up together to spend time together.
Scott and Shannon left Saturday morning to return to their homes.
We were able to spend all of Saturday with Corinne's family.
That meant a trip to the pool and pizza for lunch.

Garrett and Spencer performed a private recital for us.
They sound so good together.
After the recital, we went to Dairy Queen for treats.
We have experienced a family packed six weeks.
I feel blessed that our children felt it important enough to make the long journey twice to pay tribute to their grandparents. We have a wonderful family.
