The End

We walked from the ship to the car rental. It was very hard to find.
A bit on the frustrating side, but we got there just before the crowd hit.
We reserved a midsize SUV because we didn't want to be vulnerable in the LA traffic.
They upgraded us for free to this behemoth SUV.
It was very comfortable I have to say. A Nissan Armada.
We drove by the San Diego Temple.
The only goal we had was to go to the LA Temple.
We were sealed there March 24, 1979 and have not been back since.
We had about 15 or 20 minutes.
Fred is always worried about getting to the airport plenty early.
I have very little memory of the day we were married here.
We stayed at Fred's parents in Whittier the night before.
Woke up super early. My Laurel Advisor Barbara and her Roger Keep were there.
My best friend Liz and her husband Chris Harris were there.
A good friend Don Saltzman came. I think my Grandma Waldron came.
Of course, my parents.
Fred's parents were sealed the same day so there were many friends from his parent's ward that attended and his sister and her husband. I remember walking into the endowment room. Wide eyed.
I wore my Mom's wedding dress. The cut made it very hard for me to raise my hands above my head.
The only other thing I remember was being brought through the veil. As I entered, I saw some close friends of the Daly's and I experienced a feeling of warmth and coming home.
I imagined that will be the feeling of reunion and welcoming as we come through the Veil.
After the endowment session, we waited for quite some time in some kind of vacant overflow room until our sealing room was available. I remember talking with our friends about what takes place in the temple and how it is kind of strange.
Our stake patriarch was a sealer at the temple so I asked him to perform our sealing.
I remember that he sealed Fred and me first. That made me happy. I wanted to be sealed to him first before him to his parents. I know, I know pretty selfish and self centered. I admit it.
I remember President Godfrey saying to Fred and me to look around the room at all the people who were there to love and support us and it made me start to cry. Other than that, I remember nothing else said.
We headed back to the airport. It wasn't the most pleasant drive we've had.
It was nice to finally sit and wait for our flight. I bought Fred a snack for the flight home, but he ate it before we even got on the plane.
So another cruise is over and we had a wonderful time with Shannon and her family.
We are blessed with so much abundance.

Coming to the end

Shannon shared her photos with me so here are some from the beginning.
Here is check in.
Just before walking on the cruise ship. All of us together.
We headed straight to the buffet.
This is Animator's Palate. It was beautiful.
Tiana is Mima's favorite Disney princess.
Waiting in line for the evening show. Brian is excited.
Grandkids ready for bed and Grandma and Grandpa trying to figure out where to sit.
I guess someone is not too happy about the cruise being over.
Now back to my pictures.
This is proof that Fred and I did play cards while we were on the ship.
I just like taking pictures of Fred.
I think he looks great in a ball cap.
We asked our room steward to take our pictures, but these are the selfies we took.
Her's didn't turn out any better than ours.

Day 2 & 3 and Astoria Oregon

Tuesday morning was greeting the Princesses. We were second in line.
Ariel
 Cinderella
 Belle
 Elsa & Anna
After greeting the Princesses, it was time to go ashore.
Selfie with the cruise ship.
The port was next to this hotel. It was a nice day outside too. Just light jacket weather.
Here is a better view of the port.
It was surprising how many businesses were closed on a Tuesday morning.
Considering a cruise ship with thousands of tourist coming ashore.
We walked through a little mall with an antique store in it.
We found this box of Wheaties with the Mariner's being featured.
I know I was kind of excited with the find. I texted Scott these pictures.
Figured he would be the most interested.
It was tempting for a moment to buy it.
We didn't.
Walking around Astoria was a nice change. We needed the exercise. We were eating a lot!!
Back to the ship and the pool and slide for the kids.
Dinner tonight was in Tiana's Palace.
Very New Orleans vibe going on.
A live band and singing. It was too loud and crazy in here.
Plus the menu was getting to be on the weird side.
Mima dressed up for the evening.
The restaurant handed out mardi gras beads for everyone.
The saxophones on the table were the kids menu.
These are pictures from Wednesday.
More poolside action.
 Tonight was Pirate Night.
Mima dressed up, but Blake came as himself. They did have these pirate hats at the tables.
 Here is Sofia with Mima.
This cruise was pretty low key and we enjoyed each day without rushing about.

Disney Cruise Let's begin

Fred and I started the journey Sunday morning.
We flew out of St. George Airport.
It's so slick to just drive 10 minutes down the road and hop on the plane.

We made it to Vancouver B.C. It took almost two hours to get through the immigration line.
Other than that, everything else was great.
It was rainy and cloudy in Vancouver. We hung out in our room and ate downstairs at the
White Spot Restaurant.

 It was delicious!!
We shared a White Spot Club
and a Classic Apple Pie with Ice Cream.
Here we are in our hotel room. It was a nice place.
Monday morning we took the shuttle from the hotel to the pier.
After going through all the lines, we made it to this point hoping to spot Shannon & Brian.
As you can see, we did.
The kids were entertained with food while we waited for our turn to board the ship.
 Off to a great start.
Here are pictures of our room. We got an inside cabin this time.
Figured we'd save the money.
This is actually our favorite room so far on any of our cruises.
It just felt bigger. The only drawback for us was there wasn't much of a shelf in the bath.

There were a ton of drawers and cabinets to store our stuff in so it made up
for the lack of shelf in the bath.

This bed was so comfy. I slept pretty good each night.
First thing the kids wanted to check into the Kids Club.
These are the coolest wash stations.
Stick your hands in the tunnels and water and soap spray for 20 seconds.

Little Miss is shy.
It's a sweet gig. They text you when anything comes up with your child or to tell you they want to be picked up. Fred and I were "authorized" picker uppers.
Our first night for dinner was in the Animator's Palate.
This was my favorite of the three restaurants we ate at.
Disney caters to the kids 100%.
Even if what they wanted was not on the menu....they would bring it to you.
These two ate lots of pizza and Mickey Ice Cream Bars.
 Looks like spaghetti tonight though.
Cruise Day One over. Total Success!!
