The End

We walked from the ship to the car rental. It was very hard to find.
A bit on the frustrating side, but we got there just before the crowd hit.
We reserved a midsize SUV because we didn't want to be vulnerable in the LA traffic.
They upgraded us for free to this behemoth SUV.
It was very comfortable I have to say. A Nissan Armada.
We drove by the San Diego Temple.
The only goal we had was to go to the LA Temple.
We were sealed there March 24, 1979 and have not been back since.
We had about 15 or 20 minutes.
Fred is always worried about getting to the airport plenty early.
I have very little memory of the day we were married here.
We stayed at Fred's parents in Whittier the night before.
Woke up super early. My Laurel Advisor Barbara and her Roger Keep were there.
My best friend Liz and her husband Chris Harris were there.
A good friend Don Saltzman came. I think my Grandma Waldron came.
Of course, my parents.
Fred's parents were sealed the same day so there were many friends from his parent's ward that attended and his sister and her husband. I remember walking into the endowment room. Wide eyed.
I wore my Mom's wedding dress. The cut made it very hard for me to raise my hands above my head.
The only other thing I remember was being brought through the veil. As I entered, I saw some close friends of the Daly's and I experienced a feeling of warmth and coming home.
I imagined that will be the feeling of reunion and welcoming as we come through the Veil.
After the endowment session, we waited for quite some time in some kind of vacant overflow room until our sealing room was available. I remember talking with our friends about what takes place in the temple and how it is kind of strange.
Our stake patriarch was a sealer at the temple so I asked him to perform our sealing.
I remember that he sealed Fred and me first. That made me happy. I wanted to be sealed to him first before him to his parents. I know, I know pretty selfish and self centered. I admit it.
I remember President Godfrey saying to Fred and me to look around the room at all the people who were there to love and support us and it made me start to cry. Other than that, I remember nothing else said.
We headed back to the airport. It wasn't the most pleasant drive we've had.
It was nice to finally sit and wait for our flight. I bought Fred a snack for the flight home, but he ate it before we even got on the plane.
So another cruise is over and we had a wonderful time with Shannon and her family.
We are blessed with so much abundance.
