Father's Day Weekend 2025

This year Mother's Day and Father's Day were extra special.
Corinne's family came for Mother's Day and Scott's family came for Father's Day.
I'd love to keep that tradition!

Scott, Jess and the boys had quite a time getting here. Their flight was rerouted because of the high winds going on here at the Denver Airport. Instead of arriving around 9 or 9:30 pm, they dragged in about 12:30 am Sunday morning.

We were all chipper and ready for church at noon.
Fred is faithful to wear his Silverdale First Ward's
Primary Father's Day tie every year.
We decided on having a Thanksgiving style dinner.
I asked Jess if she would make two pies.
Fred and Scott's favorite Peanut Butter Pie and
Brian's favorite Raspberry Cream Cheese Pie
Jess had Marissa help her and I got to make the two crusts the day before.

We have a Wii that is outdated, but Evan and Graham were pretty excited to be able to play some of the games that they don't have on their game system at home.
Scott tried to get it up and running, but ran into a problem. We called Blake down because he sets it up all the time, and he couldn't do it either. Somewhere in the process things got switched around. Finally Scott and Fred got it hooked up.

Let the games begin.
Here's the boy's game table while we women were in the kitchen.
Blake worked on one of the lego sets we got out for Evan and Graham.

I think everyone except myself played a game together.
On Monday, we drove to Greeley, CO to the Miniature Train Museum. It was pretty cool. They hand out a scavenger hunt to find certain pieces in the displays. It took over an hour for all of us working on it to find everything. It was a great way to really look at the displays.

On Tuesday morning, we all went to the Aurora Rec Center and played around there. Fred and I haven't been there yet, but it was a very nice facility.
Scott and Jess bought Fred a new game for Father's Day.
The four of us played it before they had to leave to the airport.
Beginner's luck was with me. :)

We had a couple of other activities in mind, but there is never enough time. We do like to hang out at the house because then we can visit and relax which has it's benefits. Such a wonderful time. I loved having them come to visit us here.
