I was able to get together with wonderful friends last night to celebrate some birthdays at Red Robin. Here is the party gang. Sorry if the pictures aren't the greatest, but I had to go skimming facebook to get one of everyone. Everyone is much more beautiful in real life.
Lismarie one of this world's cutest little patooties!
Suzie Q - the mother of our ward! Here is Lorraine who is always fun to have along at any get together. Doranda was sweet enough to split a dessert with me so when I ordered for us I said "My sister and I would like to share a Mud Pie". In my dreams. Here is Birthday Girl Sarah! Here is Birthday Girl Melanie!

Saying Goodbye to Corinne and the boys today
Here is Corinne leaving me with her smile. I admire Corinne for her strength. She just gets done what needs to be done. Driving back to Orem with three kids all by herself. That is something I would never have been able to do on my own. I depend way too much on Fred.
I really enjoyed my time with Corinne during this visit. I can see after 30 years I am finally beginning to rub off on her. She asked for a haircut and wanted to go shopping. I was totally jeoulous because everything she put on looked just darling on her. I was so happy that we could enjoy doing one of my favorite activities together. We also like watching movies together. I am thankful that my children are not high maintenance. When they come home to visit they are content to sit around talk, eat or watch tv....or if we plan something to do they like that too.

Richard is a pretty smart boy. By day two of working on the lego submarine he knew he wouldn't be able to get it completed before he left. He left that project and started this one. He finished this morning just before they all left. One of the three tires was missing, but I found it tonight by my piano which is downstairs from where he was building it. Hmmmm? How did that happen? Just try and guess. Three little boys.....

July Activities with Corinne & the little boys
We went to the Wild Wacky and Sometimes Wet activities at the Keyport Undersea Museum on one day. They had water tables, coloring and making a porthole and free tour of the entire museum. This is Spencer practicing his cutting skillls.

Shannon, Me & Episodes of Friends
This is Shannon's belly bulge from the in vitro procedure. I estimate this will be her at about 4 months along.
I brought my six seasons of Friends to watch with Shannon over the 4th of July weekend. We picked up where I left off at home. Finished up season 5, watched all of season 6 and borrowed seasons 7-10 from her friend. We didn't get through all of them. Shannon was feeling pretty poorly most of the weekend. We stayed home all day Saturday watching TV and only went out to eat. Today she has been laying down in the living room all day while we watched more tv. Brian grilled us salmon and we had baked potato, ceasar salad and garlic bread on Sunday. Eating out is fun, but I have to admit this home cooked meal was the best.

On the road again
Not that I travel a lot, but we are hitting the airways today. Scott is staying behind to continue his money earnings at the shipyard while he awaits his wedding day. Fred will end up in St.George for a Daly Family reunion. I will be staying with Shannon and Brian in Las Vegas. Originally I was going to the reunion, but then Shannon's invitro procedure was going to have her on bed rest that same weekend so I wanted to stay and help her. Now her invitro procedure has been postponed, but she is still not feeling well. On Monday the doctor harvested 53 eggs and 48 survived the transfer. That is an outrageous amount of eggs. Usually it's around 10. Shannon's eggs were not as big as they should have been on the expected date so they upped her meds to help them grow larger. Well instead of growing larger, she grew more. Anyway - she is experiencing the after affects of too much egg production. Doctors would like her to stay at home and take it easy. So I'm still going to stay with her. She really wants to go back to work as her work load is huge right now. She may feel well enough to go to work tomorrow (Friday) so I am taking fabric and a pattern to sew a dress that I MIGHT wear for the wedding. I haven't sewn anything for myself since Shannon was married in 2004. BIG body changes since then....so I'm not sure if this sewing project is going to be successful.

I'm a bit traumatized
My experience today was actually pretty funny. Right after it happened I just laughed, but now I feel a bit troubled. Here it is:
At the high school they are installing new toilets. Today I went into the bathroom and one of the two stalls was taped with the door open. I went to the next stall and didn't see any sign or indication that it was not open for use. I put the nice little paper cover on and sat down to tinkle. Well "crack". I got up and looked and the porcelein had actually cracked. I thought, well it should still be able to flush because I was hoping I could at least avoid the added embarrassment of leaving my pee...... so I flushed the toilet and water spurted out from the base of the pipe and soaked the floor and me head to toe. Luckily it only sprayed about 2-3 seconds. I wiped myself off with paper towels just laughing and went to the main office to report that I broke the new toilet. I did have to laugh because what was my option. I gathered everyone in the Counseling office so I only had to tell the story only one more time. After everyone enjoyed the laugh, I packed my stuff and came home and took a shower. How would you feel?
